So we looked around. We wanted something interesting, beautiful, functional, and customizable. Something that made the browser feel a little more personal. Something useful, but not heavy. Fun, but not childish. Flexible, but not chaotic.

We did not really find it.

So we decided to build it.

There are lots of ways to customize your browser. And there are plenty of extensions promising to make your new tab more useful. You have probably tried some. Yet, here you are.

Unfortunately, most new tab pages are either too empty, too busy, too ugly, too limited, or too locked down. You get a clock, maybe a wallpaper, a few shortcuts, and then the fun ends. You know?

Not Widget Burger.

Widget Burger is a simpler, more flexible way to build the new tab you actually want to open. Add a clock. Add notes. Add bookmarks. Add a calendar. Add focus tools, fun widgets, wallpapers, patterns, feeds, or whatever else makes your browser feel more like yours.

Think of it like building a burger. Start with the base, add the layers you like, skip the ones you do not, and make it taste right for you.

Widget Burger is not trying to turn your browser into a complicated dashboard. It is for people who want their new tab to look good, feel personal, and do a few useful things well.

We care about privacy, too. As a European company, GDPR and privacy expectations shape how we think about the product. We try to sync as little as possible, so most of your new tab data stays in your local browser. We do not need that data, and we do not want it. Widget Burger is not built to sell ads or trade your private data. We may offer branded spaces and widgets, but that does not mean your private Widget Burger data gets shared with those brands.

You can use widgets built and approved by Widget Burger. Some widgets may be practical. Some may be playful. Some may be from brands you already like. The point is choice, without chaos.
