Widget Burger asks for permissions only when a widget needs them. A calendar widget may ask for Google Calendar access, an Elewave widget may ask for access to Elewave, and browser suggestions may ask for browser data only after you choose that feature.

Widget content and edits stay local in your browser. Notes, tracker progress, quick links, local wallpapers, and other in-widget data are not synced to the Widget Burger web app.

Most widget requests to external services run locally from your browser, so the widget can show the data you asked for without routing ordinary widget content through Widget Burger servers.
